desaru..desaru

Yeah! Finally the girls from dshootz got away from the boss for a little while and had their all waited roadtrip. Yes roadtrip. 4 ladies, together to desaru with only one solo driver. ok atleast its just desaru not like KL or North of malaysia. And its a short holiday trip. its been ages since everyone of us has been silently hoping for a day off from shoot. and I got it, the senior ms leena got it too, and ms mai the studio manager too. It was pretty hard for all of us to get the same off day and since its like the season for people to get married.. I had to go for a short break, everyone does. So we all took that one opportunity but sadly we had to leave our dearest boss home.. But we brought MrHeh, its a plush toy that has certain characteristic of mr lufi. Its just to remind us that he is always together with us, enjoying every moment. hehehe. 

i wan to go for more roadtrips and it doesnt matter if iam the only driver.  its the only time i manage to be trigger happy outside of work.

sumtimes i just feel like doodling or just create sumthing different. its for practise and to remind me that i have a little bit of talent in it. hehehe.

prewedding! preweddding shoot! i love how its different from the wedding day shoot. For me, is to capture the details of love and passion, the smile and a little bit of crazyness in them. Its more relax comparing to actual day wedding. But for them is to fall in love with each other all over again. ok, it does sound cheessy, but its the truth. 

cinta fitri

Ive always like to be behind the scene . You get to 'people watch' and than find out their true colours. Its kind of funny to compare 'them' from reel life to real life. Last weekend, the boss and I went for a shoot for the next cover of SENSASI during their Hi-Tea. The people from Cinta Fitri (an indonesian) drama was pretty relax for me and they are easy to work with. The shoot ends early, and we manage to enjoy the day as guests for their Cinta Fitri Hi-Tea. more photos coming up soon. 

selamat hari raya

It has been a whole month of fasting, cleaning and refreshing our souls. And the time comes again for a celebration. Yeahoo. Festive lights, raya cookies, lontongs, nice baju kurungs and certainly not forgetting the meet ups with relatives and frens for a catch up sessions and asking for forgiveness. So here we are clad in our buju kurungs, ready for the festive season, wishing you guys a Selamat hari raya, Maaf zahir dan batin.

it has been a wonderful, fun, tired, energetic 2 years over at Jalan sultan. we went from haji lane to bali lane. than back to haji lane and than to jalan sultan. and now we are at SOON WING. Its a new environment totally. but it shall be worth the try. a fresh new space, new ppl around, industrial look, new layout to the space, a new splash of paint on the walls (soon).

we have been packing since the early months only to do it at a faster speed a few days before the shift. time flies pretty fast. its kinda scary. i cant believe we have so many things lah. boxes were lying around alot. we managed to reschedule some of the studio shoots and the selections and pick ups. and we had the honour of having the last couple doing their selection over at the old studio. sadly yes, its now called the old studio.

pack pack pack. we were still packing while moving on wednesday. we were done with packing by 8 pm. i already had bruises all over the body. the big boss was already sneezing all the way.
and today we managed to do some clean up to the new space. its halfway done and should be ready by monday. that will be our first studio shoot at the new space.

wow. iam already missing the jalan sultan studio. 2 years it has been. A new space, a lot new energy to it and ofcourse fresh new ideas.

its not always u get to do a lot of things in one day on a sunday since the weekends are our working days. the big bro and sis of dshootz had their shoots on friday and saturday. so they had their sunday off. thats like super good news. so my morning was spent taking pictures of my little niece, followed by a day at the park and lastly followed by a lepak session with the dshootz geng. this is my sunday love. once in a while that is. :)

sensasi's Cover shoot

last thursday, Mr lufi (aka the director) did a cover photoshoot for the magazine sensasi once again. This time it was the cute and goodlooking duo, Sleek. And the pretty and cool hiphoppers/rappers Mawar Berduri and Tukang kata from the famous group Ahli fiqir. I was helping big bro with the set up of the lighting and do a behind the scene coverage. they were awesome ppl, very cheeky and spontaneous.

the shoot went smooth as usual and everyone went home happy. hehe.

bubbling kiddos

when i first met them, i thought they were cuzzins. they look like as if, their age gaps are not far from one another. and actually, their age gaps arent far different, its just that, one is an uncle of another, or the niece is older than the aunt. but it doesnt matter lah, cause its still a family. And having to shoot purely kids this time round, its kinda different. you have to be fair to the others, like you shouldnt just concentrate on one kid and let the other play around. but everything went smoothly. I became a kid too, running around. Certainly, i wanted to play the kite, but i was suppose to be behind the camera. i guess it will be next time.

so the kids enjoy themselves, i did too.

Blood brothers

Its not always you get the person behind Dshootzstudio to be infront of the camera.
So getting the chance to capture the father and son enjoying the afternoon together was a fun thing. His son is pretty much a duplicate of him. or actually the father is a duplicate of his son.
It was cute lah, to see their actions, their laughter, the way they walk, the way they talk.
Tyas (his son) was very comical and plus even before we started shooting or after it or during, he was holding on to my camera and having a trigger happy moments. It is like, his son has his talents. And who knows, he might be following his father footsteps. start from young.

They are cool couple. Blood brothers for life. very outgoing, and very candid and certainly photogenic. It made my day having the chance to shoot my own boss having a bonding moments with his son.
